Jude Bellingham was spotted massaging his shoulder after coming off during the match against Espanyol on Saturday night.

According to Marca the medical department at Real Madrid would recommend a few days of rest for Bellingham. However the England international is not keen on that idea. After missing a month due to a foot injury he wants to return to full fitness. The 21-year-old has avoided surgery for his shoulder and feels he has been improving in recent months.

With the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid approaching next weekend the situation becomes more urgent. Dani Carvajal is expected to be rested against Alaves on Tuesday but should be available for the derby. Meanwhile Eduardo Camavinga participation will depend on his performance in training over the next few days. Dani Ceballos with Brahim Diaz and David Alaba remain sidelined.

Real Madrid have faced numerous fitness challenges at the start of the season. With another international break looming concerns about player availability continue to rise.
